To raise mass awareness on the normal and natural phenomenon of menstruation in girls and women, celebrities Nusrat Imroze Tisha and Chanchal Chowdhury signed up with the Ritu project as brand ambassadors. As part of this coalition with Ritu, the actors will be seen in many awareness campaigns under the project.
Recently, the duo worked on a television advertisement for Ritu which is being broadcasted in various national TV channels. To spread further awareness through print media, a newspaper ad themed on menstruation was also published on Bangladesh Protidin (Page 5, December 28) and on Prothom Alo (Entertainment Page, December 31). The main aim of the media discourse is to sensitise the public on the subject of menstruation as something ‘normal and natural’.
